Amelia. I have been watching your videos for quite sometime now and you have inspired me to get gastric bypass. I am just so frightened to go through with it because they say 1 in 200 will die.
Is those statistics true?

That is true, but it is more likely for those who are in poor health, are the heavier people. i don't know your situation but I was ok with the odds for me because I was pretty healthy besides being big. It is a factor in deciding and your doc will tell you what your level of risk is

I am curious... did you have to pay for your surgery? The one u just had to have due to complications? I didn't know if insurance would pay for it or not. Hope they did for ur sake!!! Hope you had a blast at Prom!

Oh yeah, theypaid because it was "medically neccessary" I was literally hours from dying without the surgery

The recent emergency surgery was done by Dr Miliken.. he SAVED my life! The gastric bypass was done in Atlanta by Dr Daly, who if he was nearby I would have been pleased to have done this surgery. Both are very skilled and excellent
