@qaz474 Simply because Animate is a true animation software and was developed with the animators in mind. In addition to advanced drawing tools, you can access the built-in multiplane camera, automated lip sync and the 15 most popular effects in animation.

It's HARD to believe that Toon Boom is now AFFORDABLE! Back in 1998 when Toon Boom was fresh out of the womb it was running around 10 GRAND! And you could only run on a UNIX based computer like Sun-Micro-Systems--another 12 GRAND!
Now, over 10 years later you can get better Toon Boom software for only $500 that can be ran on a regular PC or Mac!!! MAJOR DIFFERENCE!
Guess I'll finallyh be getting this!
