How come whenever I wash my hair extentions the next couple days they get extremely nappy and tangled very easily. I hate it! Also, they start to smell really bad after a while!

I don't have extensions and have been having trouble lately getting my hair to hold style. No matter what I try, mousse, gel, spray...its seems to drop by mid day. Any suggestions on how to hold the style?

when you say 'i didn't wash them, i conditioned them', do you mean you just used water and conditioner?because ive been wearing my extensions like 6 times now and im sooo scared since i'll be about to wash them for the first time. at the extensions center where i got them trimmed they told me there is a special (ridiculously expensive) conditioner for remy hair but i didnt buy it because obviously they wanted to make money. do you use a regular conditioner that works well with your natural hair?

@wrappedwithlove87 Yes I only use water and conditioner on them most of the time. I like to use a deep conditioner I am using one by l'oreal right now that I love its small but since i only use it for my extensions it lasts a long time. it comes in a jar...i forget what it's called at the moment. it is pretty expensive like 26 dollars but just normal conditioners don't do the job as well in my opinion.
