He's With Me. . .38

I got to camp way earlier then I needed to, so I walked slowly up the path towards the entrance by myself, still not waiting on Nick. That probably wasn't the best idea.

"Selena, where's your precious boyfriend Nick?" Miley sneered. I faced her and rolled my eyes. "He's coming," I said, giving her a look. Miley ignored me. "Awh. Are you two fighting?" she pouted her lips.

I didn't get the chance to answer. "Selena!" I heard behind me. I spun around and saw Scottie walking toward me. "Oh, hey Scottie." I said, giving him a wave. "Where's Nick?" he asked, and I was sure I saw something spark in his eyes. I started to speak, but Miley interrupted me. "He's 'coming'," Miley said with a roll of her eyes.

Suddenly I felt arms wrap tightly around my waist and I soon recognized his irresistible cologne. "What's the problem?" Nick asked, eying Scottie and Miley. "No problem," I said, walking out of his grip. "I'm just going to go to my lessons. See you later," I said to Nick. He frowned slightly, but let me go without saying anything. Scottie and Miley made suspicious faces at us so I took a chance and pecked Nick softly on the lips before walking away. I hypothetically patted myself on the back when I saw Miley's expression and walked up the rest of the pathway and into the court area.

Demi gave me a face when I walked up to her. "What was that?" she asked, her face filled with surprise. I just gave a light shrug. "If you're surprised at that, you should have seen what Nick and I had to do last night to convince Scottie," I mumbled.

"Like what?" she asked eagerly. I gave her a sly smile. "Wouldn't you like to know?"

"Uhm, yes. That's why I asked. Now tell me!" she begged, grabbing my hands and jumping up and down. "Fine," I said dramatically, trying to hide my smile. I failed miserably. "We made out," I said casually. Demi's mouth dropped down so far I thought it was gonna hit the concrete. "You're starting to drool," I joked.

"You like him!" she whispered loudly. "Shut up, I do not," I lied, but I knew she didn't buy it so I started begging. "Please don't make a big deal out of this Demi. I don't want him to know!" I whispered urgently. Her shoulders slouched and she gave me a puppy dog look. "Oh, Selena, you guys are perfect for each other though! If you just let me-"

"No," I said firmly. "You will do nothing," and then I walked away. Demi continued to badger me throughout the morning and I was seriously starting to get annoyed. "DEMI!" I finally shouted. "Let it go!" and she shut up the rest of the lesson.

"Hey," Nick said as he met Demi and I at the gate of the court at lunch time. Demi smiled hopefully at me, but I ignored her. "Hey," I replied, but I didn't meet his eyes. He gave a defeated sigh. "Why won't you just forgive me already?" he asked. Demi looked at me in shock. "Why is she mad at you?"

"I said. . ." his voice drifted off. "He said that if he were actually dating me, he would cheat on me if a girl that was hot thought he was irresistible and wanted to kiss him," I muttered. "I said nothing about her being hot," Nick said defensively, obviously trying to make me laugh. "It was implied," I muttered. "Selena. . " Demi started.

"You know what? I'm really not that hungry. I'm just gonna go get ready for the finals," I said. I walked away before any body could say anything about it.
