  • The Brits are so much better clearly seeing American History than we are...!

  • Yes, this was broadcast to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the assassination. Also shown that evening was a documentary about Oswald which basically said he did it all along and featured a number of lone-gunman theorists, hence Cox saying such filmmaking was "risible" - he was talking about the documentary shown earlier that same evening! There was also a brilliant short documentary about the Zapruder footage. This was my highlight though - Cox was a legend on BBC2 - bring him back!!

  • It is shame and a crime against television the Alex Cox was never re-hired by the BBC. It's also a pity that The Parallax View DVD never included an freshly recorded intro by both Cox and the Director.

  • "also a soviet spy" Trololo RUSSIAN SPYs INVADED AMERICA! LETS DRINK VODKA KOMRAD! *

  • look up the Corsican Connection

  • It's been proved that Oswald was not a mediocre gunman. His target practice was excellent. See BBC TV's edition of Correspondent on the Kennedy Assassination.

  • His summation at the end of it being a relatively peaceful coup is slightly limited. As it doesn`t take into account the 60000 Americans in Vietnam or the 3million or so Vietnamese or the fact that the Cia got to continue its wrongdoing world-wide and actually instituted Pinochet all due to the assassination.

  • Why oh why can't we have such genius on the BBC again? You'd think at least BBC4 would hire Alex Cox again

  • This was part of the moviedrome series in late 1980's as I remember watching parallax and get carter through this season. At the time both films had gotten limited tv runs.

  • I've been looking for this clip for the last 20 years...

  • 8.04..' He fired Allen Dulles'. Allen Dulles got hisself on the Warren Commission, and was at every session. The only one who did that. Modifying testimony. Setting himself up as a main player. Poor LHO never had a chance. Killed, so no trial...at which he would have been found not guilty.

  • my money is on the bankers taking out JFK... Federal Reserve desperation
