Early one morning in November 2004, I was woken up by a drumbeat. It was quite an alluring beat like a Brazilian carnival rhythm.

At the time, a major upgrade to the Kings Cross and St Pancras Railway stations was underway.
I dont know the full story, but a contractor/employee had been unfairly dismissed by Balfour Beatty Civil Engineering for reasons unbeknownst to me. The contractor had arranged this early morning protest outside the entrance on the corner of Purchese Street and Brill Place in Camden Town, North West London.

Since it was quite early, many other residents in my building were annoyed at disturbance. You can see a projectile being launched at the drummers at the 01:33 mark.

Please excuse the camera-shake; it was shot on a Fuji M603 with no image stabilization.
