If it was an inside job and a small crew of elevator repairmen placed bombs inside the elevator shafts of the buildings; the buildings would have come down in seconds as they did on 9/11. However, that would have hurt the reputation of the security company in charge of security for the buildings and would have also hurt the financial markets. So, it needed to be cleaned up quickly, so Wall St. and the financial markets could get back on their feet as soon as possible and Giuliani become a hero.
