Dimple sucks. I was there today and got sucked under pretty bad. We hit Pinball pretty hard and I fell off and got swept under our boat. I was under for quite a while fighting the current. My girlfriend went downstream pretty bad. Definitely not for the feint of heart.

I was the only one not scared to do it until i was switched in the front before that then we slammed into the water i was near the dimple when my foot pushed of the edge and I grabbed onto the webbing on the side of the raft and my fife jacked slipped of when my friend eric clung to the back of it like a becon of hope and I whent under I'm to say i survived.

What a bunch of loosers, what about doing this rapid without helmets!?
I agree with rigss129 Set your fuc"#¤ angle!

Ha.. girl in green at 2:39 waves bye to her fallen friends....

Thanks for putting this up. Rafting the Yough is really fun, but people need to be aware of Dimple rock and the threat that it poses. You must really be aware of what you are getting into if you decide to do this rapid.

@paintball612 Yeah just wait till your time and you get stuck, I guess it wont be as funny will it.
-
yeah you deffinately wanna be on the RIGHT of that rock, but dont let that scare you, even if you DO go left and you DO fall out you still probably wont get stuck

This is how people drown. What a bunch of fools.
yeah cant you get sucked in and drown under dimple??

@justjoe032 Yes, and I did about 20 years ago - pretty spooky. The fatality rate on the entire river is about one every other year which is amazing given the number of people on it.

Is it me or did half the boat at 1:30 get sucked through the undercut?
Also, some of these people need to gain a few more rafting skills, because there's no such thing as rogue lateral waves...set your angle!

Quite a few boats and people go under the rock -- it's severely undercut (I did it some years ago) and most of the people doing this are rafting for the first time. The ones who made it (the majority), have been edited out for the sake of silliness...

Personally I've never had an experience with an undercut, but I'm surprised they let rafts go through there without a guide on such a dangerous rapid (even if it looks mellow).

Although the video may not show it, there are guides that stand on top of the rock guiding rafts through, as well as many people standing by in kayaks.
