I have to agree with some of the comments regarding Prince vs Head rackets.....

She has been surprisingly consistent with grand slams after switching to Head, but I feel she had better chances of winning the last two grand slam finals, at least Australian open if she still used Prince....I don't know exactly what makes Prince racket better than Head, but there is definately something about her with Head that tells me she was better player with Prince!

@danceboi47 i dont think it has anything to do with the racquet she uses..... she had a mediocre year the year after this victory (2007) but she bounced back in 2008! maria needs to get the same confidence that she had in her earlier years as a pro!

I wonder what Justine was thinking, watching those bombs coming in her direction, with no time to move, or even think; just react. Only a player playing like Justine was playing at this time could loose only for 4-6 4-6; any other player would've lost like, 1-6 1-6 or even 0-6 0-6. loool

ps. btw, I remember that only Mauresmo and Jutine were able to really face Sharapova at this tournment, as she defeated the first rounders with very low scores.

yeah, Maria can not play at THIS kind of level anymore. her injury and surgery got her a bit more limited. she can't play easily like this anymore, BUT she can still produce VERY HIGH level of tennis. when she's at her game, she is VERY HARD to be stopped. She has everything to win more than one major again, lets see
