This tutorial will show you how to install and configure Routing and Remote Access on Windows Server 2008 to route the internet into your local network and also accept VPN connections from remote clients.

  • So, do you configure both interfaces first? When I tried configuring one interface for the public (internet) network and the other for the private network, 2008 reset one interface and everything died.

  • @4CardsMan Yes that's correct. I configured both interfaces first with a static IP and also renamed them so I can identify them easily.

  • @mullinsJ08 But how did you do that? which static ip should i use on my computer is there a way to get those adressess to fill it into the properties of the IPv4? And how should they stand (interfaces) NAT or Intern birdge or Intern Network?(i got first one birdge and second Intern network) i used cmd with ipconfig to get my ip when i installed my server2008

    gave me this: 10.0.2.15

    255.255.255.0

    10.0.2.2
