Hi!! where the screen of the video is click on project video properties or type Alt+Enter and set the width 640 and height 360 :)

also when u place the video in the work area click on track motion and @ the end of the rectangle drag it until the clip fits the screen or you can click event/pan/crop on the clip and on the scroll down part choose widescreen

using vegas? if so, put two clips on top of each other use the cookie cuter, then the track motion on the cookie cuter and move it at different times in the video...i'm not that good at explaining it but try searching cookie cuter tutorial on here for vids :)
