I hate it when the damn syndicators cut out scenes from a tv show..and sometimes their editing goes too far..especially this scene..where"Superman"(George in his "Clark Kent"outfit)uses his x ray vision to find that horrible little piece of glass lodged inside of "Little Ann Carson's"optic nerve.

whats wrong with that chick she acts like she is blind or something

Shameful fags

wb probably deleted it out because of todays sick perverted society and the intent of the connotations associated with words-in those days50s-it was the age of real innocence-these days the words come out wrong and twisted--like everything else gone wrong-the wb people should of had more sense..on cable and tv..before the dvd release--it was ok--its always been ok--notice it when you buy anything retro on dvd,--getsmart on dvd has heaps of deleted scenes as well--absolute disgrace..thx again

Maybe the scene was a little too "intense" for kids at the time? I don't remember seeing it and I've seen the show 100 times. Later on, when the obnoxious kid says "he saw a piece of glass, he has the most wonderul eyes in the world!", well, it makes more sense now, having this scene put back in. I always wondered as a kid, when did he examine her eyes with his super-vision, I don't remember that! Thanks for posting this rarity.

George Reeves palms look ghastly.

Superman uses his great eyes to help fix the girl's blindness, too bad he did not do laser vision on her but this was the 1950's

it seems like an outtake the way george stumbles over his line.
Probably because Warners couldn't come up with the original print, and had to settle for the syndicated one!

They still do it today! Commercials have always played an important part in keeping these programs on the air. But I agree with you! It was important to understand why Ms Nugent was so difficult to deal with.

I remember seeing this on TV several times. It was never deleted, just not shown often.

As I have said before, It was deleted on Warners DVD! I remember watching the series, in syndication, back in the 60s as well. It just wasn't there!

The scene was omitted from Warner's DVD TAOS collection. It's just not there!

The 100th episode was called "Superman's wife." The attractive Joi Lansing placed the object of Superman's affections!!! It was all a ruse to nab the criminal mastermind John Eldredge. (Crime Wave'51).
