What kind of engine did you fellows shoehorn into the chasis? Obviously this isn't the 2.65 Turbo.

@gtmotor To clarify the history of the car it was originally a Patrick Racing car, the info I received from the seller regarding Newman-Haas/Rocketsports turned out to be incorrect. This car was driven by P.J. Jones and Jan Magnussen. It was used for most of the '99 CART FedEx Championship Series and then performed duty as a show car for promoting the '07 Las Vegas Grand Prix and the defunct Arizona Grand Prix.

@lostracingfan48 Technically it's a CART as Indycar and CART split in '96 I believe but yes, this is a REAL racecar. IRL is crap and a pale shadow of what American Open Wheel Racing once was.

Cool stuff Greg. I'm really pissed I couldn't make it out this time. Would of loved to see this in person.

haha at the end everyone in the lot was like DAMN!

What flys off the car at 2:19 in the video?

Thanks, pretty sad. This is an Indycar. Not the current crap that I dont even watch anymore. A current IRL car is basically a F3 car with more power, crappy Honda sound in the IRL also. They need to rename it 'The IZOD Formula 4 championship powered by crappy Honda Engines
Cool. A Patrick Racing Visteon Champ car. Its a Swift right?
