She wanted to frame Nick and everything backfired. Jack found out what Carly did and But Carly wouldn't be Carly with out screwing up, so she tried to frame Nick and it backfired, having Jack finding out, he said he could no longer be with her. After that she kept on begging him to come back, untill one day she warned him: if he would leave now, she wouldn't be sitting around waiting for him.

Carly wanted to help Jack get his job back. He was working parttime at the station because he lied or protected carly while she had charges against her. So jack had a case he was working on, but he had to work on it with Nick, a new guy in town and also Mike's cousin. Anyhow, Carly was working in a stripclub pretending to be a stripper, only so that she would recover information that would be useful for Jack, so he could solve the case and get his job back entirly.

It's shameful to say, but sometimes the Carly and Jack thing sets me to tears. I hate the current story line. Jack left carly, not willing to come back. When she moves on with Simon he wants her back. It's too late then. But what the freak was going on with the writers making her leave the show like that! Couldn't they just have her getting sick or in a coma or something. That leaving Jack and Oakdale thing is so stupid now, cause she's done that a couple of times now!
