@Texfield91 Very, very true! In fact, I just listened to a BBC podcast which carefully explained how many European countries are on the brink of financial collapse. The problem is that it's all too easy to name some far off place which few in the discussion know the details of and rave about it in glowing terms, not mentioning any of the problems there.

@MEpianist: Your utopian European socialist dream is doomed. The lavish retirement, healthcare, and benefit packages your comrades in western Europe have adopted is unsustainable. Why? Low birth rates. Europeans are not reproducing. There are simply not enough people working to pay for the generation currently retiring. Socialism has infantilized them to the point where childbearing has become an obstacle to their hedonistic lifestyles. They are fucked. How's that for saying something?
