  • Awesome advice. Thanks! Glad to see you're back.

  • @amuricankb Thanks! I had a busy Summer, Singapore, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Italy and Australia, but I did keep working out. I wish I could have filmed some of them. Some were very interesting ;-) More to come!

  • "Make the kb fly" for snatch and lc clean, that has to be right. Pain is another reason to use all five with a later generation thinner handle 48kg. Also chalk is lube there. Try it Valery's way and see why. I remember one of the celebs at a seminar saying after learning kb sport way from sport's official ambassador VF, oh, the other way was hard on this and that, injuring, not a matter of opinion. Sport is right, not injuring is right. Try it this way then you'll notice the reasons.

  • @kinetsudragon but in all serious check vfs facebook wall he mentions high pull in the comments

  • @kinetsudragon the difference is this movement doesn't suck

  • @305kc Well then what is the difference between this and a high pull? Which muscles are being used that aren't in a high pull? Mechanically there must be a difference. It appears to me as if it's a curvilinear high pull that isn't as close to the body. Like halfway between a swing and a high pull basically. I'm only curious because it's so similar to what I learned as a high pull and it's no surprise Valery said he used this to improve his snatch.

  • Thanks Coach! Even after years of using kettlebells I always pick up something new after watching one of your videos

  • @kinetsudragon it looks a little similar, but not a high pull at all. The power here comes from the legs. The pull is about keeping it on the right trajectory, closer to your body. VFWorkout #4 is good for swings too.

  • I completely understand why you're doing swings that way Valery, but that looks more like a high pull than a swing. Is it a high pull, or a combination of high pull and swing?

  • @dirtyjew1974 Couldn't say it better!

  • very insightfull and really like the videos! ive been lifting kettlebells for about a year now. and im inspired by the videos to keep going with them, its too bad theres no clubs for it around here or i would join one.
