This was the opening theme for WLWT-TV's Cincinnati Reds telecasts in 1986. A great announcing team with Hall of Famer Marty Brennaman, the late and legendary Joe Nuxhall and FOX Sports Net's Steve Physioc. Unfortunately, it was also the day Cincinnati was afflicted with Tracy Jones, as you will see if you watch to the end.

  • I remember the opening great memories if anyone has info on the music used on the reds opening in 1985-1986 seasons let me know.

  • @chubwright79 The music was from a production music company called Network Music. I have no idea what the piece's title is because I couldn't get the radio station I worked for to subscribe to their service.

  • Wow...what memories this music brings back. That just sounds like "sports music".

  • @TammyKurtz12590 you have an excellent memory . Soto and co. beat the Phils 7-4. The Phils jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first . The inning ended when Carlton slammed a deep fly ball to right that Parker caught with the sacks full. The Reds got homers from Eric Davis and Dave Parker, while Schmidt jacked one for Philly.

  • The name of the music is called "Deadlines", from the Network Music CD "Industry and Activity" (NM040).

  • @Sportbuff99TV The track in question is simply titled "Deadlines".

  • LOL at the Big Bill Hell's used cars song

  • back when the reds were good
