Dr. Scot Waterman is currently Executive Director, Racing Medication and Testing Consortium (RMTC) in Lexington, KY. He received a veterinary degree from the University of Illinois College Of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. After spending eight years as a private small animal practitioner, he redirected his career, graduating with honors from the University of Arizona Race Track Industry Program in May 2001. While completing his final semester, Dr. Waterman began working for the National Thoroughbred Racing Association's Racing Integrity and Drug Testing Task Force. Scot says that one of the best parts of the program for him were the class projects, meeting people in the industry through the guest speakers series, and doing projects with other students. He says that a professional he seeks out other RTIP grads because he knows they are well prepared for work in the race track industry.
