Bringing The Fallen Home

Bringing the Fallen Home is the story of America's fallen warriors, their families, and those charged with the solemn duty to care for and honor the fallen and their families. The documentary will pay tribute to fallen Americans from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and give families a voice to tell the stories of these heroes who paid the ultimate sacrifice for freedom.

The Dignified Transfer ceremony at Dover Air Force Base is the literal and symbolic return to American soil of fallen US service members. In 2009, the military began allowing media coverage of dignified transfers for the first time ever (with family consent). This moving, solemn ceremony is a heartfelt tribute to each and every fallen service member and is an important reminder that every life given in service to our country is more than just another number or statistic. Because media permission to cover this process is new, this is a story that has not yet been told.
