Chocolate Ganache Cookies is a decadent sweet treat, perfect for Christmas parties or given away as home made gifts. Chocolate Shortbread Cookies are lovingly baked, then bonded together with a delicious layer of Chocolate Ganache. Easy to make but very impressive - Give it a go!

RECIPE FACT SHEET

INGREDIENTS IN THIS DISH:

COOKIES:

200g Butter
1 1/3 Cups of Plain Flour
1/4 Cup of Cocoa Powder
3/4 Cup of Icing Sugar (Powdered Sugar / Confectioners Sugar)
2 Teaspoons of Vanilla Extract / Essence
Extra Icing Sugar (to dust cookies)

GANACHE:

100g Milk Chocolate Buttons
2 Tablespoons of Cream

Preparation Time: About 10 mins (plus chilling time)
Cooking Time: About 10 minutes per tray

MAKES 12 COOKIES

ALL MEASUREMENTS GIVEN ARE AUSTRALIAN STANDARD METRIC
(Look up Google for a conversion chart if using Imperial)

  • Isn't icing sugar basically like powder sugar, or there's suppose to be a difference?

  • @CDdisk4life Yes, Icing Sugar is just another name for powdered sugar ;)

  • @BrittLeanne652 That's fine - any cream that can be whipped is fine ;)

  • would it be possible to make this using 'white chocolate' instead of cocoa? My mother is allergic to dark chocolate.

  • @gobin56 You can use any chocolate you like for the ganache filling, however there is no substitute for cocoa in the cookies. You will need to use a different cookie recipe if you don't want to use cocoa ;)
