I'm sorry but did she just say iguanas are not great pets?!?! Maybe if someone doesn't know how to keep them... otherwise she should shut the fuck up as there are many loving owners who much prefer something unique over something generic... like a Golden Retriever.

You people obviously aren't listening to what he is saying. These animals are not good BEGINNER PETS. If you have owned reptiles for years and know how to deal with them, go right ahead and get an iguana, python, tarantula, etc. He never once said that NO ONE should own these animals. He states that if you are a experienced reptile owner, that they might be the right pet for you. But probably not for a kid who just thinks snakes and lizards are cool and has no idea how to care for them properly.
