Is McCain a war hero? Yes. He is a Vietnamese War Hero. The reason why the Vietnamese wanted to release McCain from prison was they hope he would destroy another 5 US military planes making him a double ace. And McCain's father was nothing special either. He sank a single Japanese ship and sub captains w/ 10x the kills did not become admirals. But McCains Grand-Father made sure he became admiral and John McCain got a flight slot that he did NOT deserve... Nepotism = McCains

@xxk4rilsxx False. It was a popular idea some 50 years ago but now it is a proved failure. A low flying aircraft is an easy target for low-end weapons. You can shot down a F-22 flying 600 ft high with an AK-47. Fast jet is not easy to aim at, sure, but if you have a thousand people shooting at the same time the chances are getting too much high.

@grendelee If you fly low its harder to get hit.

You REALLY have to think about it. Going 600 Knots at low altitude. You imagine YOUR that guy shooting at a plane going 600 knots.. You will see it for atleast 5 seconds it will fly right by you and you wont see it. If you are high in the air you still have visual of the plane for a longer time.

Maybe he still go shot down flying low but he would have gotten shot down easier flying higher because you have more time to shoot at him.
