Dissidia 012: Squall vs Vaan

Wow, I'm really liking how Vaan plays. After I level him up expect a few videos of him. Squall is still a very solid character.

1) Beat Fang is still pretty good, even though the range, tracking, and power have been nerfed.
2) His new Ariel Fire spells don't track too well.
3) Ariel and Fated Circles both have a nice absorb effect.
4) Maybe it's just me, but Thunder Barret has a longer cooldown than the original.
5) Not in the video, but EX Solid Barrel does not go through guard anymore.
6) Laguna Assist= O_O

I'm mad that Square didn't take the time to make Squall a better character. I like Squall, but if he's the same in Dissidia 012, then he's nothing. Hell, they make Cloud special, but of course Cloud cuz he's "everybody's favortie character". Squall is much better than that emo ass. But I am dissappointed that Square didn't take the time to make Squall cooler in this one than the first.

@bja808 Cloud WAS my fav before i got into FF more. Now its a tie between Onion Knight and Squall.

@bja808 That is the way of things, FF7 has got all the spin offs possible while FF8 gets nothing. FF7 is Squares cash cow, I prefer 8 myself and Squall is the only character along with the rest of the cast of FF8 that felt believable. I never got the hype for FF7, I played it and always found that it sucked. We all know deep down that Squall is the coolest, that's all we need to know for ourselves :P

really? someone needs to tell Square that Squall would look perfect if they would improved his graphics. They need to stop changing his look! what the hell is that on his sides?

@SimonMOak Didn't really failed, didn't improve either. Although he was indeed nerfed. And the Laguna assist is great. I use it myself. Easy to string attacks.
