Ever had a stereo recording that only had left or right channel audio? This tutorial shows how to use the audio filters to force that single stereo channel (mono) into full dual stereo.

  • Oh my gosh you just saved me and our class project XD SUPER THANK YOU!!!

  • @SkySerpentine08 Glad to see it's helped you out :)

  • Hi Jon, thanks for taking the time to make and post these tutes, they are very useful. Could I ask that you do a tute on eradicating the mush that rises in a quiet passage, like when the speaker pauses to take a breath and then, when he or she starts speaking, the much appears to diminish. I think it's the amount of compression used in recording the sound but I'm not certain that is the cause.

  • @theprintsofwales This raised mush you describe is most likely the effect of Auto Gain Control whereby the audio is recording with automatic level settings and is trying to maintain an even loudness of recording which means it sounds great when it's noisy but then when it's quiet the background or Atmosphere (atmos) gets high sensitivity (increased recording volume) and in the end you have audio that is not quiet when you'd like it to be. I'll take a look at ways to diminish the issue :)

  • Thanks you saved me lots of time!

  • @animatedanimator happy to have helped :)

  • This is very helpful. Some people see this as the wrong way. Well its not if you have laid out all your audio in your timeline already and you CANNOT change the mono to stereo once this has been done.

In this case you use this video to simply add the effect to whatever speaker is playing the audio. This saved me a few hours. Thanks~!

  • Thanks, great tutorial !

  • What a life saver. THANK YOU (but you've heard it all before so deal with it!). LOL Again (this time in different languages), gracias, merci, danke, arigato, m goi, obrigado...
