Jimmy Hart Offers Kamala Watermelons and Women! (8-28-82) Memphis Wrestling

A slightly disheveled Jimmy Hart is determined to settle some "First Family" business with Dutch Mantell this morning! An unusual pair is formed when, out of desperation, Hart recruits the Ugandan Giant, Kamala, with "watermelons and women!" to take care of the Dirty Dutchman for him.

After successfully bribing the simple giant, Dutch simply refuses to fight Kamala. But Lawler steps in to take the challenge, much to the crowd's delight. The inevitable run-in features Beautiful Bobbie Eaton (Midnight Express) and Brown Sugar coming to the aid of Kamala on Hart's order. Terry Taylor (The Rooster) and Steve Keirn (The Fabulous Ones) rush in to save Lawler.

I always wondered how they got away with Kamala being such a racial caricature. Seeing as the gimmick originated in Memphis, it suddenly all makes sense now.
