President Obama picks Judge Sonia Sotomayor for the U.S. Supreme Court, making her the first Hispanic to serve on the nation's highest court. A new Middle East peace plan dominated talks between Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and President Obama at the White House. Obama marked his first Memorial Day as President at Arlington National Cemetery and laid a wreath at the Cemetery's Tomb of the Unknowns.
