Kim Philby, a former British Secret Intelligence Service officer and an agent for the Soviet Union at the same time, was perhaps the most famous of a group of British government officials who served as Russian spies from the 1930s to 1950s.
Philby came from a very respected background in British society and attended Trinity College at Cambridge University. His life seemed to be quite predictable and clear. What made him turn to spying for the USSR? Get an access to a top secret information only on RT!

Also, the Polish pilots were well known to be the most daring and efficient pilots. They were the only pilots that would fly out in raids in bad weather and fog, showing a bravery and determinism that undoubtedly helped in winning air battles.

Just for the record, the enigma machine was developed using an older version that the Polish built to decipher codes. The British used their machine to build a more improved version. It was then British mathematicians, physicists and engineers that cracked the code at Bletchley Park. Whilst the Polish played a part in the birth of the code breaking machine, it was Alan Turing that adapted and improved on the idea and won the war.

Dave Rhodes and rockster71 you are so right. Philby sold out his country because he thought Communism was the way forward. He wasn't a Soviet agent who was bravely living undercover in the UK, just a Brit who put UK lives and others at risk because of his schoolboy politics. That's the trouble with the British upper-classes - they think they know it all and know what's right for the rest of us. A traitorous shit who sacrificed many lives. I hope he rots in hell with the other four scum.
