6.9 makes crazy smoke

Chones and I got the stack right with a flapper. Ridiculous smoke ridiculous egts but its damn fun!! I recommend 6.9 powerplants to any diesel enthusiast for cheap easy to work on fun. They make a beast hot rod diesel.

@idiguy it's a 300 dollar piece of crap. The price of scrap metal here in south Texas is 12.00 per 100lbs.. Do the math.. I blow it, and I sell it for more than I paid for it. It's all fun and games until it blows up which it still hasn't and then I win again.

No turbo so maybe 85hp and 250tq to the wheels it's all heavy fuel no power.

I have an 83 and i got the pump turned all the way up too and it doesnt blow tbat much but i also have the stock exhaust on it ut im about to put 3 1/2 all the way back and put a 4in tip

@Psdowner bo they get aroun 134 to 176 hp and around 340-390 tourq with a banks turbo it add 82 hp and 182 tourq wel that what websit said

Did you work on the fuel pump and turn a 5/32 bolt the make it smoke like that?

I tried that an I could find the bolt?

@mopar43v3r shut the fuck up you littel troll. 1 its his truck 2 you know jack shit about the truck... is thier a bigger problem like it cant pass inspection??? so unless you know whats wrong with it stop talk about selling it 3 how long with it take to sell???? i know where i live no one would want that for more then $300 so he would have to wait for a buyer or he can have fun and scrap it and still make his money back.

I think they have about 170bhp, 190 with the turbo?

120 to the wheels easy as standard, turning the pump up gives a lot more thats if it is the pump and not a fault.

Lol how many flats did you turn it up or did you just crank the Allen head screw in the pump as far as it would go? I turn mine up just a little and it didn't hardly turn and it just stopped, it's never been turned up before so idk what's up..what do you think? Truck runs good I just want a little more black smoke without tearing it up.
