  • Your clip, and that of 'Sirius' have got to be the best so far of Tornado stretching her legs. Well done both of you.

  • Thanks, but I really must learn how to operate my camera in video mode. RTFI, as they say!

  • I,ve never been a train spotter or ever really had an interest in any trains.... Yet this clip is almost emotional... well done to the men who worked hard to build her...

  • It is clear that whilst your great grandfather may have been a fantastic train builder you appear to have none of his intellect or maturity. A great shame. The £3 million spent on Tornado will be repaid with interest once the loco enters revenue-earning service. Perhaps you would rather waste £40 million or more on Nightstar locos and rolling stock and leave it to rot in sidings?

Oh - and perhaps you should consult a dictionary next time you try to insult someone?

  • what a bloody sight, engineering at it's best

  • hi niallms

indeed i am a great admirer of the deltic loco.

were you a fan of them.?.

  • With a name like "Crepello" one might rather guess that you were a Class 55 sort of person!!

  • hi peter.

good comment about the haunting whistle in the night.

i think that most steam locos with their shrill whistles and hissing steam sound very eerie at night .

don,t think that diesels have that same kind of feel.

i do like diesels by the way .deltics are my favourite.

    regards tim29red.

  • very commendable footage, bit shaky but better than some
