Fun and games on the reef - S'amuser sur les récifs

- The sheer fun of playing with the new toys developed by Cousteau divers was so infectious that scuba, scooters and other gear exploded in popularity and the recreational diving industry was born. Half a century after The Silent World, vacationing hordes descend on reefs in such numbers that re-enacting the thrills of the films high jinks is forbidden—even to Cousteau divers. A sea turtle may be puzzled by one bubbling hitchhiker but its very survival can be threatened by swarms of curiosity-seekers.

Un demi-siècle après "Le Monde du silence", des hordes de touristes descendent sur les récifs et leur nombre est tel qu'il est aujourd'hui interdit de s'y amuser comme dans le film. Même pour les plongeurs Cousteau. Si une tortue de mer peut être surprise par un autostoppeur isolé qui fait des bulles, c'est sa survie qui est menacée par des nuées de curieux.

hm....exciting childhood memories but WAHH...underwater-terror.:()..­Shredding seagras with scooters - and the turtle-clutch...wahhhh!."looks­, that the turtle is tired"..after the diver torturing and drwoning - JC. had really fear of sharks. I saw a movie with JC...they fished reefsharks and let them choke at deck..comment "sharks are fighters - but after one hour they give up":()...Sharks - the submarines of death...and Mantas...the devil deathbringer..:()
