VICTORIA - The prime minister is encouraging Canadians to act a little "Un-Canadian" over the next two weeks.
Instead, Stephen Harper is urging us to shrug off our usual shyness and show off some "swagger" during the Olympics.
He delivered that message during a historic speech at the BC Legislature, where he said during the 2010 Winter Games, Canadians should "glow with national pride".
Premier Gordon Campbell then led MLAs with cheers of "Go Canada Go!"
Opposition leader Carole James added she believes this is the year the Canadian Men's Hockey team will reclaim Olympic gold.
But Harper's appearance at the BC legislature outraged Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff.
He's angry because Harper pro-rogued the federal Parliament, which normally would be sitting.
