On September 3, 2010 a MASSIVE Facebook campaign was launched asking Oprah to do a show on childhood cancer during this, her 25th and final season. (www.facebook.com/Oprah4KidsCancer) In just a few short months over 50,000 people worldwide have joined this page and formed an ARMY to finally give these kids a voice!

Childhood cancer is the #1 disease killer of kids - yet it gets almost NO funding, NO research and NO awareness. 80% of children are at Stage 3 or Stage 4 at the time of diagnosis. The lack of awareness means symptoms are missed. These missed diagnoses are costing children their lives.

If people knew how overlooked and underfunded childhood cancer was - they would RISE UP and they would HELP!

Since our campaign launched, several TV news stories and radio interviews have aired all across the country about our plight. Stories have been published both online and in local newspapers and the Kansas City Chiefs endorsed us to over 220,000 of their fans on Facebook. In addition, more than 150 celebrities and professional athletes have been REGULARLY helping us spread the word on Twitter.

This video tells our story. We hope you'll share it with everyone you know. No child should live without hope for a future - simply because people are unaware of childhood cancer. Our hope is that Oprah shines a light - on what DESPERATELY needs to be seen.

  • It was a clever idea: if FB ppl could get Betty White to host SNL, maybe they could get Oprah to do a show on childhood cancer during her final season. 55K ppl pulled together, but could not convince her to skip another segment on marital infidelity or self-aggrandizing celebrity.

  • I lost my brother Neal to Ewing's Sarcoma and I would love to do something to help
