Remember Derek Hersey!

At least put on a parachute in case of falling and prevent dying. A parachute help climbers to have more opportunity to climb more mountains and enjoy what they do. Thumbs up if you agree so climber can read this and wear a parachute :)

With a rope is not harder Im sorry... It is heavier but the safety factor is way higher. No way you can even compare the two. wat Alex honnold and then tell me what he does is easier then using a rope....

@absinthe5765 Although to most people not attaching a rope must seem insane, these free soloers want to achieve something more than just a difficult path. They want to prove to themselves that they do not need technology to achieve this. In a way they want to imitate animals, only relying on their strength and technique to survive. Andreas Proft shows this very well as he even climbs barefoot! (painful as hell when you need to stick your feet on really small holds)

if you fall you are dead, one mistake and you are done.

The difference is the rock vs. you, or the rock vs. you and the shoes and the rope and the carabiners and the crampons and the croutons, etc.

@MisterTFK Yes climbing whit a rope is harder and not only because of the rope, the routes are much more tough. What I meth was that it`s much harder mentally
Yes this is impressive, but I see no reason to not attach a rope.

Determination is the force which propels. Understanding is the perceptive force which comprehends. What happens then, when determination out propels understanding? Is understanding enough to subdue determination? What happens then, when you reach the point of no return? Do you get to return?
