why you using OSX86? thats a 32bit system aint it>? n ur on a quad core with 12GB ram, bit of a waste of money if ur not gna go 64bit on an OS

Yes, an 2.5 ghz Macbook Pro vs a Quad-Core (2 processing units) and 4.x Ghz twice processing frequency.
You're not considering the difference between disk read and write speed nor the differente of bus frequency.
If you wanna compare try an Mac Pro Quad Core. and get shocked with the difference.
