Les Misérables is the best musical to ever hit the stage! Period. End of discussion.

The recent performance of Susan Boyle singing "I Dreamed A Dream" inspired me to make this mash-up of Patti LuPone and Susan Boyle performing the song -- two of the BEST EVER in my opinion. I still get chills every time I listen to it.

Here's the question: who sang it better? Post your opinion in the comments below.

  • I love Susan, but Patti is still the master of this.

  • Patti LuPone is better, because...C'MON shes Patti FREAKIN LuPone!!!! No one will EVER top her in this song! Susan's is great don't get me wrong, but I mean, Patti will always be a notch above the rest!

  • LuPone. Duhhh.

  • Why even ask? You know the answer is going to be the woman who doesn't just sing it but also ACTS it making the performance even more heart felt and powerful. Yes Susan did an amazing job. But when it comes to Broadway songs most women that preform them act them whether in theater or just a concert. So of course Patti freaking LuPone wins!!

  • even with patti's recording in poor quality to susan's there is NO comparison. i love me some patti :)

  • goosebumps at 2:40 onwards

  • May God bless Susan Boyle. I hope she is able to regain some normalcy to her life. I worry that her "Britains's Got Talent" experience may wind up being detrimental.

Comparing Susan to Patti is not right . Susan is an unusually talented non-professional. Patti is a mega star, and one of the greatest "Broadway" singers ever. She can give you chills with this song, and any other, even after singing them a million times. Susan and Patti should both be admired for what they are.

  • Susan Boyle is a good notch above.

  • The song isn't about WOW factor, it's about a woman's emotional turmoil.

  • no competition. lupone obviously. she's an ACTRESS.
