Now comes the final setting of the brick work to the exit flue transition where the square stack leaves the confines of the curved chamber. Some spaces in the bricks as well as under the final 12x6x3.5" stack base blocks I filled with 50% lag + 50% high temp. castable mixed. The exit flue is a bit smaller than the cross section of the stack.

  • It is actually much more complete now than this part. About another 10-15 minutes and we will be done with 2006 construction. I think some of 2007 is already posted and I should get caught up to "real time" soon. I hope we can see the first firing this year.
