It is now evident that tendonitis is a defunct term: the condition is not inflammatory. Chronic tendon pain is now termed Tendinosis, which is a degenerative condition and not an inflammatory condition.
This does in fact alter the way we need to approach treating our diseased tendons. Check out tendinosis. org for a good place to start. There are a lot of rubbish treatments out there to get conned by, but there's hope. Disciplined rest is vital.
@liberteecabbage i have petellar tendonitis after falling on my knee on a rock OUCH! I wish i could still run n play sports but now i just found out i have a large arachnoid cyst anterior to my left temporal lobe......that sucks
I have pain in my left knee. Right in the middle. I feel a burning, annoying, bruising sensation everyday in that area. I am trying to get insurance to find out what is wrong with me, but for now, I am trying to find help on how to situate this problem. If you can help me, I would really appropriate it. Thank you for your time.

Thanks for the information. I've been dealing with patellar tendinitis for some time, and didn't know some of this.
