UAW President Calls for Pragmatic Approach to Work for the Common Good

Leading off with an acknowledgement of the amazing turnaround of the auto industry, UAW President Bob King says Michigan is at a watershed moment and that everyone must work together to find common solutions to address the challenges we face. He outlined the UAW of the 21st century, saying today's unions seek productive partnerships with their employers to spur innovation and create jobs. He said unions are willing to work with management and challenged businesses to re-examine negative reactions to unions.

King is a grovelling wuss, who in the name of "partnership" cut union auto workers wages by 50%, restored the 10 hour straight time day and gave up massive concessions, all to enrich the billionaires who own GM, Ford and Fiat/Chrysler, at the expense of the UAW's middle income members, who King and the billionaires forced into poverty.
