  • @Mrjmoyer78 sorry about the typos......on my phone doing this...LOL....that is I have and consume.....see i do know how to spell....LOL

  • @Slammintone I ahve a 2011 Outback and Forester and neither comsume oil between oil changes....these must be stories of the WRX or turbo engines......

  • what's with all the stories I hear about Subaru's consuming 1qt. of oil every 3000-5000 miles? Im used to vehicles having exactly the same amount of oil in them at 4000 miles as when I changed the oil previously. I'd like to hear more instances of Subarus NOT consuming any oil between oil changes.

  • If you take care of a Subaru, you will have a trusted friend for many years to come.

  • been driving for a year Outback 2,5 CVT. Absolutely happy with it and have no problems at all. CVT transmission is MUCH better then previous 4 gear gearbox. and the ability to operate CVT in manual mode is marvelous to me. As well I'm pretty happy with its gas/mileage thanx to its transmission.

  • OMG, the intake Manifold is now made of plastic???

The more I see the new Outbacks the more I want to keep my 09, Aluminum intake, shorter leg room and all.

I really wondered about the CVT but I guess I'll have to wait a couple of years to get the lowdown on just how reliable they really are.

  • I love Subaru's! I have a 1999 Legacy Outback that still runs like a champ. The only bad thing is it leaks engine oil like crazy and I have to top it off quite a bit. Eventually, I'd like to upgrade to the 2010 Outback.

  • mi fathers have had subaru outback since 2006, thet had the 2006,2008 and now 2010, and with 06-08 we never had any problems with transsmision, anyone, the only times we send it to the garage was for technical revision and when my mother crash twice :/ but never for transsmision

  • I am not talking about race cars just ordinary ones like 2.5l and 3.0 wuthout turbo charger, trannies have contant kicks, jerks, poor shifting throu the gears this is b/c low quality trannies from jatco

  • if ricers would stop dumping the clutches on their subarus at high RPM's then they would have less transmission problems. This guys CVT Outback will never have that problem.
