TRIVIA: Two weeks before "Sins" aired on CBS, an NBC executive told the press Joan Collins had yet to prove her drawing power away from her regular role on ABC's "Dynasty," and her mini-series should pose no real threat to "Peter the Great," a mini-series NBC scheduled to air at the same time. Collins' "Sins" however defeated "Peter the Great" in the ratings.

I just love all of Joan and Marisa's outfits. I remember reading that Joan's 85 costume changes set a record for a single production at the time.

Guess the NBC exec never learned the moral of the Dewey/Truman election: don't count your chickens before they're hatched! Personally, I'd be more willing to see a miniseries such as this one than "Peter the Great" - no contest! :)
