Arecor: Protein amino acid side-chain proton exchanges (with explanatory text)

One of a series of short videos produce by iemedia solutions ( http://www.iemedia.co.uk ) for Arecor Ltd ( http://www.arecor.com/ ) to help explain the scientific principles behind their protein stabilisation technologies.

This video illustrates the random exchange of protons between charged amino acid side-chains and other molecules. This eventually leads to charge neutralisation of regions of the protein, which are then attracted to similar charge-neutral regions of other proteins resulting in aggregation.
