  • @blortner Hehe. That's like saying, ''Nat King Cole, Natalie's dad..."

  • @shaithis80 Woody Guthrie, Arlo's dad, wrote it following a 1948 plane crash.

  • Fresh as the dew at dawn. One of those immortal Woody Guthrie songs.

  • I've always wonder what the Spanish translation was in the Concrete Blonde version and now I know. Thanks Joan and thank you to the orginal artist or writer that wrote this good piece of music.

  • Concrete Blonde and Los Illegals really did a good job covering this song as well and don't know about the original version, but the CB/LI version was bilingual.

  • As far as I'm concerned, no, it certainly doesn't matter what "attachment disorder "is.... nor would I have written anything about it.

  • @Phillipa1 IT DOSEN'T MATTER WHAT ATTACHMENT DISORDER IS!!!

  • I first heard this song on The Brothers Four album Sing of Our Times released back in 1964. I still have the album after 40+ years. It also had "Spring Hill Mine Disaster" by Peggy Seegar and Ewan MacColl - another song about money over people.

  • This song always brings tears to my eyes, no matter who sings it or how many times I hear it.

I didn't realise that Woody Guthrie wrote it.

  • Nothing is as dangerous in this world as truth in verse and song.Take care ADonovan43
