@warrenrab Yeap ! The other thing that has to be respected is writing on the label - "Methode Traditionelle"="Traditional Method" and the wine called Sparkling Wine and not Champagne. But that hasn't prevented USA to write on their labels Champagne... strangely...

Lets be clear: use of the term Methode Champenoise may be prohibited but the method or process of fermenting sparkling wine in bottle is not.

Sparkling wine from the USA with the term Methode Champenoise can not sell in the EU. It is vorbidden to use Methode Champenoise outside the Champange region. Outside the Champagne region the have to use Methode Tradiotionelle. This is only in the EU, in the USA not yet.
