Director Kyle Gilman is obsessed with Jennie, his former leading lady. Unfortunately, she has moved away to New York and wants nothing to do with him. When he finds Janine, an actress who bears a striking resemblance to Jennie, he's sure she'll be the perfect replacement for his new adaptation of the ancient Greek myth "Kalesius and Clotho." Winner, Best Short Film, Anchorage Film Festival and Best Student Film, Dahlonega Film Festival.

  • well, i watched the whole thing (in two parts, though). was pretty funny, actually. amazing that you could find an actress that looked so much like Miss Tarr (or perhaps that was the starting point for the premise of this film...). anyway, liked it.

  • Glad you liked it. I had the idea to find a Jennie-double first. I was just lucky that Ashley was a friend of a friend, and even luckier that she was an accomplished stage actor.

  • -2-

and, so, decided to check out your other videos (since I liked the ones I saw). I just watched a little of Camera Noise, which looks like another quirky dry comedy, which I love. So I'm looking forward to watching it. So I guess I'm now officially a fan. :-) Is there a t-shirt to wear? ;-)

  • There is--in fact--a t-shirt to wear. My website at kylegilman net has a link to "buy stuff"

  • hey...Do you aspire to be the next Spielberg, make your film available to the opinion of veterans in the field who will give you constructive criticism and show you a clear direction to pursue.

Turn your passion into a profession at the International Short Film Competition at Aahān 2011 hosted by the Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Management in Mumbai, India. With over 1000 short films from 43 countries being screened over the period of the last 3 years, It’s Lights, Camera, Aahān!

  • This represents the life of many directors, I believe. It's easy to be alienated because everyone else doesn't quite track with you and your passions. I always have to remind myself that people are people, and I am one too (in my perspective as an amateur filmmaker). Good "people" movie.

  • you should make a video to the two night stand

  • I'll never wash my eyes again.

  • love it <3

all the director & jenny films are perfcet!!

  • ha! well i guess now I'm kinda obligated to buy one.... ;-)

  • well, she did a great job! and there were several times that I had ask myself, "Is that Jennie or the other girl?..."

btw, I'm going through all your YT videos now. I first found the 15fps series (which I loved -- and found it funny how people commenting were wondering if it was real :-) ). Then, a few months ago I found your Two Night Stand video, and realized you were the 15fps guy, and, so, subscribed. Then, the other day, I watched your Time Travel video, which I really, really loved (cont)
