Manchester Model Railway Exhibition 2009

Part 1 of 2. The magnificent MMRS Exhibition at the New Century Hall, near Man. Victoria station, held the MMRS exhibition again, making another very successful day. The 20 amazing layouts, and the 40 trade stands, were all spread out around the Foyer, Lower hall and the Upper Hall. This huge event is being held over the weekend of the 3rd and 4th of October (I went on the 3rd, saturday).

We mainly focus on what must be one of the best layouts there, Blackmill. A modern era 00 gauge layout, with a station, and mainline. What you expect is loads of passenger, and fairly good freight. Oh no! Loads and loads of freight, and some passengers such as voyagers, 150s and 153s. The freight included the Network Rail NMT, 31 test train, a 3 carriage test train, DRS tractors and 20/3s, flasks and loads more! All of the trains there are run on Lenz DCC, and include DCC sound fitted inside!!!!!!

@ApacheBravo This is an annual exhibition, held by the MMRS (Manchester Model Railway Society) and is always held on the first weekend in October. Check out their website by putting MMRS into google.
