I used to think it was "kewpies in the briny"--LOL! And I only knew this song from "Rocky and Bullwinkle", too--the episode where Bullwinkle and Boris are waging a psy-ops battle for the hearts and minds of the metal munching moon mice--too funny!

Murray was successful for several good reasons:
his voice recorded well in the acoustic process.
His diction was the definition of clarity.
He always sang in perfect tune.
His sense of comic timing and vocal inflection was faultless.
He was a comic singer right for the times--he had no competition even then.

I first heard of this on the Bulwinkle show!

wow, I was introduced to Billy Murray on tinfoil dot com. He was one of the big ones back in the era. Sounds great for as old as it is. Your sound card picks up very well. Looking forward to your collection.

Always good to hear Billy Murray - love his recordings, he had a nice "appealing" voice and way of singing. This is one of his best! Thanks for adding, Jiggy!

Thanks! It's all Edison. Only thing I did is rewire the cartridge to play vertical cut records and EQ (subsonic filter.) This is basically how it played.
