  • I remember that campaign.. but, it was more like "What you see on ABC this fall is gonna get cancelled tomorrow." This was just before they made the big splash with Happy Days, Charlies Angels, Three's Company etc..

  • I was working on sarcasm there.. but I guess i wasn't that good at it...

  • @joebradio you did very well. Stop knocking yourself. Very good!

  • The 1974-'75 season was the last of the "old" ABC, in terms of programming ideas and scheduling {i.e. "THE TUESDAY/WEDNESDAY MOVIE OF THE WEEK"}. When Fred Silverman came aboard as the network's chief programmer in the fall of 1975, he "jump started" the schedule by eliminating the 90 minute movies, emphasizing more promotional spots, key characters on certain shows {"The Fonz" on "HAPPY DAYS"}, and adding "WELCOME BACK, KOTTER" and "DONNY AND MARIE", for starters...

  • Could somebody upload the whole fall preview from 1974 again?

  • I'm sure it was "What you see on ABC this fall, you'll be talking about tomorrow."
