I have the new version of this car the 9-3 carlsson and my god they are fast!

@DanmanT15 huh? I'm right, don't cry.
I'd rather have a Saab than a Buick, like you said, Saab's pull higher G's on the 'pad...

Contrary to what I asked you, you obviously haven't gone back to grade 11 physics yet before writing your comment. I could write pages on why your reasoning is completely wrong, but lucky for you I'm limited to a number of characters.
Anyways, the .80g, is that the only thing you can prove me on? I said it as a joke. It doesn't change the fact that it is disgustingly unimpressive. So this car is 3300+ lbs? To me, thats heavy", so where is the 'high' skipad rating?
-
@DanmanT15 Well I would love to do that but they probably wouldn't let me.
We're not talking about a ball on a string. A heavier car is not only likely to have larger, wider tyres but will be able to exert a greater downward force on them, perhaps warm them better, create more grip and record a disproportionately higher G reading. A simple tyre change will give you a different G reading, as will a swerve, skid or different surface.
You said the saab's G was lower than the buick, and it's not.

You better go back to grade 11, and do physics class all over again. Mass (in a vehicle) is counter productive against traction when we are talking centripetal acceleration. If the mass was exactly level with the point of friction (the road), then it would show no benefit or burden. Unfortunately though, it is in a vehicle, and centre of mass is nearly 12 inches up.
Besides, A lotus elise has a skidpad performance of nearly 1.0 G, and a buick century is roughly .78G
-
@DanmanT15 'Fat albert' indeed, fat heavy cars will naturally pull more lateral g-force than lighter ones, which is one reason why no one pays any real attention to 'g' numbers on a skidpad when evaluating performance, and also why a fat buick can pull high 'g's, the same as a Lotus elise for example.

@DanmanT15 Check again its 280.. It might be but its drag coefficient is great and top speed stability is insane this ride is a cruiser not a sports car-- even though this saab may perform as well as rally car.. a compact executive.. or a gran tourer not many rides have this versatility

SAAAAABB!! OWNS ALL !!
-
@DanmanT15 have hirsch upgrade and when a fat rs4 gets in my way and i have to let off the accelerator so i dont push it out the way
shame as audi has about 420 bhp vs my measley 275bhp but power is not everything. you should see the drivers faces when they get blasted by a car half the price
impressive
