  • But did you know, DOT regs prohibit us truckers from carring fuel jugs on the back of our trucks? Its true. And this includes any size. But, if it was MTY and we had it never used, and under the bunk or somewhere hidden, then yes, I coudl see it as a one time use deal. Good point.

  • With all the horror stories of how some companies treat drivers, I have to wonder a: If you call your manager and say the weather is very bad and you are not sure you can make it to your fuel stop, would they let you buy 20 gallons from a mom and pop truck stop nearby ? b: if your radio etc was out, could you buy $100 bucks of gas with your money, because you had to do it, and would they reimburse you ?

  • If you are within a mile of the fuel station, having a 5 gallon diesel container and some walking could have saved you time and money...
