my springer was also a rescue dog. i consider it lucky to find one at a shelter because then you get to take it home!

@sc4rzpur3 Man, Your sure do have wonderfull insight on everyones lives.........Please tell me your secret
-
@ruffstff everybody does, youre all just too lazy to do things after your own day.
-
@sc4rzpur3 I know this is an old post but who has two spare hours a day????
-
We've also got a Milly springer that we rescued from a nasty farmer who didn't feed her she was so scared when we got her but now she's come on bounds and is a fantastic dog although a little scatty, wouldn't get rid of her for anything. We also have a springer who's 14 yrs old and is still a puppy at large. Love them and your Milly looks very happy

Good on ya, for rescuing Miller. Great looking dog.
-
@sc4rzpur3 yeah i think the field bred dogs are much better looking, even the field bred cocker spaniels compared to the show dogs you see everywhere
-
@DrDeathEMS :D i dont like the show dogs look,i cant see how that looks better than the field type.
-
@sc4rzpur3 then you should be in good hands, there is a big difference in the field vs show breed of the dog, my 1 yr field springewr has easily twice the energy and stamina of any dog ive seen
-
@DrDeathEMS what if you took them for 2 hour walks daily?
What's a spaniel's average weight? My apartment only allows dogs under 35 pounds :(

Our Miller is approximately 50 pounds.

Did he put the dog in the trunk? That's a bad idea. I got rear-ended by a dump truck on the way to the vet once with my cat who was in a carrier in the front seat. There was no trunk left after that truck hit us. Granted, we could just as easily have been T-boned and then the cat would have been in the worst place, but rear-endings happen more often. Might want to reconsider that. He's a sweet pup! You're a saint for being a rescuer!

Hi,
No, he's not in the trunk actually. It's a hatchback car, and the back seats fold down to make a cargo area. Thanks for viewing the video!
